Announcement of Travel Awards 2025

for students and postdocs to attend the VIII ALAEQ Meeting

Dear Latin-American Chemical Ecologists,

We are pleased to announce the travel awards sponsored by ALAEQ and Companies to stimulate ALAEQ young scientists (Ph.D. students and postdocs) to participate in the VIII ALAEQ Meeting to be held in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil between December 07th-10th, 2025 (https://alaeq2025.com.br/). Please forward this opportunity to your contacts who may be interested and meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be either Master or PhD. students or Postdoctoral Researchers (up to two years from receiving the Ph.D. degree)
  • Applicants must be affiliated to Institutions from Latin America
  • Applicants must be registered members of ALAEQ with paid 2025 membership fee (https://www.alaeq.org/register-membership/ ) at the time of applying.
  • Applicants must be the first author of the work (within the scope of Chemical Ecology).

Application requirements:

A single pdf file containing:

  • Title and abstract of the study that will be submitted to the VIII ALAEQ Meeting (the abstract length is up to 300 words for review purposes only and is not considered a formal abstract submission as required by the meeting website);
  • An up-to-two-page CV, including name, affiliation, email, awarded or ongoing degrees (year of receipt of Ph.D. degree is mandatory for postdocs), publications, and presentations, applicant’s signature, and date;
  • A letter of support from your current or past advisor;
  • A link to a 3-minute video of the candidate presenting the main findings of their study in English.

The evaluating committee will be integrated by ALAEQ councilors together with the association’s past president.
